    Tazered

What do you think about that poor old Australian lady who is 95 has a Zimmer frame to walk and dementia in a nursing home
Who A police officer Tazered because she had a knife

They said she was approaching the officer at a slow pace , didn’t understand what was being said to her to drop the knife so he Tazered her ,
Shes in a critical condition in Hospital

Now come on 95 can’t walk without assistance and frail , it would have taken nothing to wrestle that knife out of her hand
Personally I think the officer should have the book thrown at him /her .

A Tazer in that situation should never have been drawn in the first place
    Disgraceful actions .

I heard this on the radio Oma. It sounded like complete overreaction and total lack of applying any common sense . It's not as though she had a gun.

Definitely overreaction on the policeman’s part.

Oma, i agree. He/she should have the book thrown at them.

How difficult would it have been for a younger, fitter and stronger police officer to "arrest " this old lady without the need for unnecessary force .
I doubt she was a danger to anyone apart from her obvious failing heath .
This officer should be totally ashamed of themselves

It was a total over-reaction on the policeman's part, wasn't it. I wonder if "assessing the risk in a situation and using your discretion" was part of his training. Awful. Does anyone know if the old lady recovered?
