    Is it the beginning of the end for Smart Motorways?

    We've talked about Smart motorways on GRU for several years - mainly to say how dangerous they are and how it puts some people off using motorways.

    The i newspape is reporting that future plans for them will be abandoned. I hope this is true!

    Daisy, I did read that, I remember booking for Wales and travelling on the Smart motorway was worrying me, then, Covid happened.

      I hope so , they have caused unnecessary deaths , a silly idea in the first place .

          Hope they are abandon. It was a bad idea.

            I also hope they return the existing safe motorways back to 'normal'.
