    We are all glad that GD, although very slim and gentle natured is excellent at karate. Maybe more girls should learn self defence as well as being told the safety tips for their protection.
    And of course BOYS taught from an early age how to treat women.

      Gem - I agree to both - boys should be taught to respect girls (and other boys), and girls need to be given the confidence to live their lives without worrying about being attacked, either physically or verbally.

      Lizzie - I know dangers are present here and now, and it would be foolish to ignore them, but I feel sad for a whole generation growing up with fear of being outside their own homes. What a dreadful situation.

        I agree with you Daisy, everyone should feel safe when they are out. Gem, karate is a good idea, that is what they were talking about yesterday and getting the young boys so show respect for the opposite sex.
