Currys and Black Friday problems

We recently bought a new tv and sound bar from Currys, and were very pleased with the service, although the web site didn't make it easy to return an item we'd ordered in error. But they did refund very quickly.

It seems Black Friday didn't go so well, though. They had technical problems and some orders didn't go through the system. Currys are now saying that customers whose orders failed will have to pay full price rather than the Black Friday Deal price! People aren't happy!

They should get the items at Black Friday prices.

That's what I thought - they ordered the items in good faith at the Black Friday prices, and it wasn't the customers' fault things went wrong.

Apart from anything else you would think Currys would want to avoid the bad publicity if they don't stick to the offer prices.

Surely if they accepted the orders they should honour the reduced price. It’s bad publicity for Currys which they could have avoided.
