The Duke of Edinburgh gives up driving at 97

And not before time, considering his recent accident!

I'm sure it was a wise decision, but I bet he's not happy giving up his independence.

I think it's only right . I also think it's been pressure to do so by other royals like Charles apparently he has been concerned for a while .
Although there is no reason why he can't drive on his own private estate even without a licence .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

If you've ever seen The Simpsons the Duke of Edinburgh reminds me of Mr Burns, (the man who owns the factory). Not much interest in the man really.

About time. He can't afford to risk anymore accidents.

Iโ€™m sure he has someone who can chauffeur him around! I wish I did!

                Precisely Sunshine!
Most drivers hate to give up as they lose their independence.
He can be driven anywhere, and he hardly has to worry about popping to Sainsbury's because he has run out of milk!
