This race has just started. The weather looks fine, from the TV coverage, so that is a bonus.
I checked the route and it is a little north of Oma, so we won't see her watch it go past the end of her road

I have sponsored one of DD2's friends who is running in mermaid costume, for the Stroke Association.

No a little further along the coast from us about 6 miles away 😊 so not too far , we take part of the route and cross the Tyne bridge on the way to Hospital 😊

And it was also the New Forest Marathon. Not as major event as the GNR by any means, but still quite a popular event. We timed getting home from our holiday to avoid the worst of the road closures as the start and end of the full marathon is on the outskirts of the village. The road to our house was 'access only' but we must have looked honest when we told the Marshal we do actually live there!
