    The Hottest Day?

I know a lot of us aren't enjoying the current heatwave, and I feel a bit guilty for loving it, but it seems the best - or worse - is yet to come.

Tomorrow (Friday) will be the day to stay indoors with a cooling fan and long, cool drinks.

MPs report on the threat of a warming climate as the UK braces for its hottest day, say Thursday's papers.

Like you Daisy I am a summer person. The freedom to be outdoors and all that means, the flowers, sun, the light evenings all those I love. I like to be able to seek shade though and I really dislike the hot nights. My 2 recent air conditioned hotel stays have been bliss

On Friday instead of having GD and GS2 we are getting together with them and DD. We were planning The Deep in Hull to escape the days predicted heat. Now rain is forecast so we think hoardes will flock to an indoor place like that. We are going to an open farm closer to home. DD says the barns are under cover as are the play areas, so we can shelter from sun and rain

On Moneysavingexpert, quite a few were saying they are fed up with the weather now.
We like it,but we do tend to follow the shade round the garden.

          I'm afraid I'm not a sun lover ,
I enjoy being able to go out without a coat and sit in the garden and all the light when it's nice and warm ,
But heat like this is too much .
My feet and ankles swell so much they feel like they will split , I feel sick and have a constant headache .
          I really don't cope well ,
When my DS was married in Sorrento 5 years ago it was like this and it was a miserable week for me ,
I was in agony and couldn't walk far ,
So no it needs to cool down a little
Im not fat just 6ft too small

I'm with Oma. I just stay indoors if I can with really cold water to drink all day. Fan on, curtains closed. I used to be a sun worshipper but not any more.😎

How's everyone's appetite in this weather? My last two meals out with DDs I've had a child's portion of chicken wraps + salad. This has been plenty for me. It's now 31° here & 33° where my sister lives nr you Plant. Not sure if I can hear distant thunder....bring it on😂

This is the first day I have really felt drained with the heat. I am sure the fan is blowing warm air. I hope I can get outside this evening, we sat out until 11pm last evening, watching the bats.

The heat never seems to affect my appetitie or hubby's.

When we were younger, we could lie on a beach or beside a pool for hours.
Might be an age thing, but we can't do it now.

Much as I love this weather, I don't particularly want to eat anything except salads! You think I'd lose weight, but I haven't.
