I use my phone if I have to get up really early. My wake-up tune is “Oh I do like to be beside the seaside”. I defy anyone to sleep through that!

If I am going anywhere in the morning I set my IPad alarm, otherwise I would still be sleeping beyond 10, I get up about 5am to go to the loo but usually just drop off to sleep again. I am going to set my alarm for 9am as I have to be at the garage to sign something at 11am. Hate rushing in the morning, like to take time getting showered etc. I doubt I will turn off the light before 12pmWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

GM - That's a nice cheery tune to wake up to. I think you must be a lark! For the odd occasion I have to use my phone alarm or iPad the tune is "Bad Moon Rising"!!!!
Plant - I hate rushing in the morning. Tuesdays when I have to go out about 7.40 I get up between 6.15 and 6.30.

OH brings me a cuppa just before 9 o'clock! Then I take my time coming to before I actually get up!
If, heaven forbid, I have to get up early, then I set my alarm clock. No phones in the bedroom at our house!
OH is a morning person. As you'll have gathered, I'm definitely not.Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WeeGranny - there is something very sensible about owls who marry larks! Two owls don't fit in with society very well. Why does everything, like work/school/everything have to start so flippin' early!!!

I think it will be worth it in the end, I didn’t expect to have this problem sleeping and I am truly very tired. Yesterday I couldn’t sleep during the day as the wardrobe fitter was in the bedroom but I can go and have a little nap now (on the uncomfortable beds) but I think I am so tired that my body doesn’t care any more!If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Avo - that is so unsettling - at least you didn't have to troupe out into pouring rain or freezing snow, but still a very broken night.
Zizi - with so much going on in too many areas of your life, no wonder you're not sleeping. Roll on tomorrow and your own bed back.
