    A little bit older

For many years as I've got older , I've still felt 27 years old. I don't know why but that's the age I've stuck at.
Until recently that is. Now when it strikes me, I'm 44. Not sure why, but suddenly I feel my alter ego has gotten older.
44, now that's still not a bad age to feel.

GJ - I always say you're as old as you fell - and if you feel 44 that's fantastic.

Today I've felt about 30 - but tomorrow could be quite different.

44, you are maturing now GJ!
I do know what you mean. I can't give an exact age but I feel a lot younger than I am. I also think I look younger than I actually do.I am quite shocked sometimes when I look in a mirror, particularly unexpectedly in a shop! Who that dowdy frumpy woman is I have no idea!!

Oh how I wish I felt younger. I used to, and looked younger but it has all caught up with me. I get frustrated because I can’t undo things, I’ve lost the ‘spring’ in my knees and I have to think twice before doing stuff that I could do standing on my head before. Things are looking up though. DD2 has introduced me to Elderberry syrup and pro biopics that I can take alongside antibiotics when I have to take them. I can honestly say I am feeling much better. If this continues I shall meet myself coming back as my MiL used to say. 😆

            That sounds very positive Grauntie
I do know what you mean, it is the physical which lets us down. Aching knees, holding on when going downstairs for fear of falling, wearing glasses and taking tablets. Those make me feel old

Yep in my mind I'm 20 then the old bones ache, and the tablets come out I have to take just to keep going , and I'm not as strong as I was , and the eye sight has gone ,

Boobs have gone south along with my face and eye lids ,
Having to ask my kids for help moving stuff ,I hate doing that ,

Going into a room and having no idea why
Passing the loo and going for a wee to save having to go back later
Forgetting what I'm talking about half way through a conversation

Then I look in the mirror and I'm a cross between my Mother and my Sister and they are both Dead !!!! I don't want to look dead

For the past few years I have been 32 that is when my youngest son was born he will be 36 next month but I'm still 32 on a good day.
I don't think I look going on 68 and do get compliments about my skin and hair just don't let the people giving those compliments see me first thing in the morning struggling to get moving with my aching bones and before my daily supply of medication has kicked in they would be in for a shock. lol.but just now I am 32.

I feel 60 most of the time until I have to have a handrail to go up and particularly down stairs. I am still quite strong it is just the walking makes me realise I will be 80 this year.

We all seem to have our aches and pains, pills and potions and things we can't do any more. Usually none of those make me feel old and I ignore them as much as possible. I think the one thing that does 'et' to me is not being able to sleep if I have a cup of coffee after dinner in the evening. I like it strong and black but it keeps we awake at night for hours.
