    Favourite day of the week?

Do you have a favourite day of the week?

For years mine was Thursday. It was the day I worked with the 2 work colleagues that I am still close friends with. Only 3 staff worked on any day and that was the only day with all 3 of us together. I loved going to work on that day!
Then after my granddaughter was born Wednesday became my favourite day . I had her to myself all day from the age of 10 weeks. How I looked forward to and loved those days

I don't really have a favourite day now, and my weekly schedule can vary a lot from week to week anyway.

Usually Wednesday and Fridays when I have GS1 and Sundays , that's when we meet friends for morning coffee and usually when I get to see the two youngest GC on a Sunday

It’s funny we must have all looked forward to the weekends when we worked ,although for the first 11 yrs I worked on a Saturday from 8-4 , and as much as I love my babies I still for some reason look forward to sat/sun can’t get out of the habit, it’s the days I slow down with housework and catch up on tv progs I wanted to watch just seems a more calmer time for me , we rarely go out then just sit at home chilling , don’t seem to be able to do that through the week

Much as I love my GDs, my favourite day is Wednesday.

All the years I was teaching I was constantly clock watching - everything from getting up in the morning to timing in seconds for shorthand, and when I stopped teaching I stopped wearing a watch. But on Mondays and Tuesdays I have to keep an eye on the time, and it's so nice on Wednesdays to wake up when the sun (or the dog) decrees it and not having to think about what the time is all day.

Friday has always been my favourite day, the start of the weekend.

I don’t think I have a favourite actual day. I suppose it would be any weekend when husband is not working his shifts really. I find it quite lonely without him. Now I am supposed to be only working four days a week I am hoping to find myself something to do outside of the flat and work that I enjoy and maybe that day will become my favourite. I am not a great sitter and I am not keen on sports at all. I am an exceptionally good organiser and a good cook/baker which is one of the things I enjoy at the weekends when he is working.

Because of working full time I have never had the joy of looking after the GC during the week like a lot of others on here but we did used to have them ever such a lot at the weekends which I always loved but now they have such hectic and varied social lives at the weekends we usually only see them when we visit them to deliver Pocket money/gifts etc. Good job they don’t live too far away.
