Problem is Daisy that people would not believe some of the things that happened. It is all so different now. There are things that are not so different, the current furore about inappropriate behaviour which I was on the receiving end of more than once for instance. But there was also the discrimation because I was a single parent although it was not a life style choice for me; no help with childcare etc. How difficult it was as a single mother with little family support in the 1970s. Having said that I survived, my son thinks I am the anti christ but I know I did the best I could for him.
By the way my prince has fallen asleep on the camping equipment and for the third time tonight and ended up on the floor. I think I might have to go and tuck him in bed, he had better not get used to this tucking in lark as it won’t last........
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
First marriage failed ...too painful to recall this time in the morning. Present OH lived in Manchester but came home to visit his parents most weekends ...they lived across the road from me. I was then a single mum. It was when I saw him with my children & later in his uniform (TA, perfect fitting trousers 😲) that I knew I wanted to be with him. We married in 1995 & are still going strong.❤
