Do you eat at the table.

When OH was alive we always ate at the dining table, including breakfast and lunch if it was soup. I have a large lounge, dining room, my table seats 8 when extended. I also have a round coffee table and when on my own I pull up to a chair and eat there usually watching television. I do think I should eat at the dining table, it is better for digestion, might go back to that as I can still see the television.

We always use the table, either in the kitchen when there's just the two of us or the dining table if there's more. We have a through lounge/dining room and our table can seat 8 fully extended. We sometimes have our lunch on our laps in the lounge as it's nice and cosy in the winter.

I mentioned in another post that our dining room was hardly being used so I turned it into my craft room. We can all still eat in there but prefer trays. Family meals are at the table.

We don't have a dining room here but did in the family house when the DCs where at home but we always congregated in the large kitchen where we had a large farmhouse table and 6 chairs those days gone now sadly but super memories,we had built a breakfast bar in the kitchen we now have built on the wall leading to the garden so we can eat on that or have a tray day on our lap,the breakfast bar also serves as a base to leave my lap-top during the day but the inconvienience of not having a dining table is made up by the view from my kitchen door to the garden.There is still the fact that we don't get called on to hold dinners parties which I don't know if this is a good thing or not but we enjoy what we have.

I use my dining table as a desk when I am working at home. I have a big wheelie yellow plastic box with my office stuff in so I wheel it out, plug the printer in using the top of the plastic box as a printer table and then bung everything away into it at the end of the day. Once the bedrooms are done I will use the small bedroom as an office so it is all out of the way part of the reason is that where I put my box is going to be turned into a cupboard and anyway I have a lot of stuff which I have kept over the years “just in case” and has not been used. We will be champion recyclers when I empty that lot out,

We are so good at adapting space and making things doable aren't we,my hubby favourite saying is adapt and overcome he is a smarty pants to say the least.
