    Sherry anyone?

When my children were still living with us we almost always had a proper family Sunday roast lunch. More often than not I had a sherry before this meal, and enjoyed it very much.
Now Sunday roasts are rare for us, and when we do I never think of having a sherry any more.
In the hotel in which we are staying for a couple of nights, there is a decanter of sherry and 2 sherry glasses in the room. I decided to have one, and then another! I really enjoyed it.
Do you like sherry? is there any other little pleasure which you have let lapse?

Yes please, I love sherry, but only seem to have it at Christmas. Must look in the cabinet and see if we've got any. If we had a special meal at home, or out too, I'd often enjoy a liquor with my coffee but haven't done that for ages. I'm sure we've still got some, might have one later.

Gem, I use sweet sherry in desserts sometimes, and I quite enjoy a dry sherry in a tall glass with lots if ice. It's quite different when it's cold. 🍹🍹🍹

I remember going though a phase of having a Dubonnet before Sunday lunch.

I don't like sherry. Hubby doesn't like drinking sherry, but he likes sherry trifle.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Still a tradition here. I usually have a glass of Tio Pepe before Sunday lunch. My friend has a sweet sherry. We discovered our mutual fancy when she and her husband came to lunch. Every Sunday we raise a glass to each other in our respective houses!

When my OH was alive we always had a sherry with soup, mainly when we had been out shopping in the winter. Always dry for me and medium for him. Don't drink it now.

No, never liked it . I used to enjoy a glass of port but not anymore as it gives me heartburn.

Sherry trifle is my favourite pud! Don't really like most alcoholic drinks (taste like cough medicine to me) though have an occasional brown ale and ginger beer shandy with my Sunday lunch!

Don't really like any alcohol. I just don't like the taste. Sherry trifle is okay though.

I can take it or leave it generally Clover, and if I was told tomorrow I could never have alcohol again it wouldn't bother me.

Having said that, I do enjoy the odd glass of wine, G&T, mulled wine at Christmas, and newly rediscoverd sherry
