    First albumn/single

I have noticed in my news feed that on the 1st June it will be 50 years since the release of St Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
I was given this album for Christmas 1997 when I was 13 . It was my very first album I had .
Can any of our ladies recall what their first album or single they had ?

I was listening to a programme about Sgt Peppers on the car radio yesterday Mimi.

I think my first single was 'She Loves You', by The Beatles , I remember my auntie buying me it and I don't remember having any before that so it must have been my first. I think I was 8.

I'm pretty sure my first LP was the first released by The Monkees, who I was mad on around ages 12 and 13. I remember owning a Beatles EP, 'Twist and Shout' (which I still have!) but not having an LP.

I cant remember my first Album as I had 2 older sisters and a older brother who bought a record or album every week so we always had the latest music , although I have a feeling it was either Queen or Procal Harem (spelling ) whiter shade of pale .

Little White Bull by Tommy Steele and What do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me for by Emile Ford and the Checkmates. These were the first records I bought to play on our new Dansette. I don't remember buying an LP till much later. OH came with a box full which we still have, including Sergeant Pepper and other Beatles LPs.

Showing my age, but my first single was 'Diana' by Paul Anka!!

We thought about buying the Sgt Pepper album, but we'd just got engaged and were about to get married, so it was one luxury too far!

Little Richard, Tutti Fruiti, and Bill Hayley and the Comets. That shows my age. Skiffle was also very popular.

Mimi,The first Beatles hit was Please Please Me but some people say Love Me Do was their first but it only made it to no 24 in the charts, and their first LP I bought was called With The Beatles the front shows just head shots of the boys in black and white, the first record I bought was anything to do with early motown just can't remember which one it was.
I have quite a few Beatles LPs but the sleeves are a wee bit worse for wear after 50+ yrs they might be worth a £ or two to collectors I just can't be bothered with all the time that valuing takes really.

The first record I remember my family owning was Big Bad John https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bi...hrome&ie=UTF-8 The radio was permanently on with Family Favourites on Sundays and Children's Favourites with Uncle Mac (?) on Saturdays.

The first LP I bought for myself was probably Percy Sledge - I had all his recordings. OH has all the Beatles, Stones etc but they have made their way up to Leeds with DD2!
