    Your morning routine

What is you morning routine? Does it vary from day to do, or is it always the same?

My day starts in the same way almost every day. We have a fairly strict 'rota' in our house. OH and I take it in turns to go downstairs, feed the cats, open the curtains, check both mobiles for texts or missed calls, then bring 2 cups of tea to bed. On Saturday and Sunday we also bring the biscuit tin . (This is a great treat and joy to the GC when they stay, coming in with us in the morning for a biscuit, something they rarely have at home, and never in bed!)

We then generally read in bed and/or go online on the tablet while drinking our tea, unless we are going out early or GC are due. Then we may just quickly check emails then get up.
I will usually shower and dress before I go downstairs. Other times, like today, I don't shower and dress until after breakfast.

Once up I like to have my breakfast straight away. I may put some washing on, or switch on the dishwasher, but apart from that my food has to come first! My breakfast varies, but I have to have coffee, that is my only fast and firm morning rule

Depends what I am doing. Yesterday I was up and out by 6.45am after ablutions, make up, hair, coffee. Today I was up at 7, ready to go by 8.30, now answering work emails and being on here. On a day I am working from home I will do the daily puzzles on my iPad and read the paper on line. I am always dressed by 8.30 especially if I am going on a conference call even though no one can see me! Daft isn't it?

Today I am going back to Clapham to have lunch with my ex-business connector co-ordinator and I might pop into Debenhams to see what there is in there I can whack the plastic with...

saturdays I am almost always out of the house by 7.45, go to newsagent, baker, butcher, green grocer and pop to Tesco if there is something I have forgotten in the Sainsbury order. Sunday I generally try not to shop but spend a bit more time running through personal emails etc. Of course this routine goes out of the window when himself is not working at the weekend!
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

My routine is wake-up, get up straight away, bathroom wash, make-up etc, get dressed. Go downstairs - pop to the village shop (two doors a way! to pay for the bread or milk that will be delivered that day.) Return home, make a cuppa and breakfast, eat. Then do whatever is planned for that day.

If it's a work day then up, showered, hair , make up cup of tea and ready to leave by 7.35. When I am off which is the majority of the time now its 8 to 9 before I get up I come round very slowly and preferably quietly. When I feel human I will have my shower, then breakfast and coffee. OH is the complete opposite, he's up with the lark and is one of those irritatingly happy, singing people first thing.

As soon as I wake I'm up go downstairs have breakfast look at phone and emails , Text my Sister then I do all my housework , hoover put wash on etc , once all that done I will have my shower and I wash my hair every day get dressed and make up on and usually out the door by 9 to go where we want to go or pick Dog up . if we have to go shopping it can be 8 am . Weekends I allow myself some time but still I have everything done by 9 . Just a habit I have been in since having the boys to child mind and never got out of it . OH is the same Libra a very sunny person first thing , singing and laughing , I need a glass of cold water and 5 minutes to pull myself around first

As soon as I get up, I have a coffee. Then spend an hour or so on computer. Eat breakfast, then get showered. If I know we will be gardening,i usually leave the shower, till those jobs are done.
Very rare breakfast varies for us. A few cereals followed by a slice of toast, coffee for me,tea for hubby.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I'm not a natural morning person, but life forces me into that role at times.

On Tuesdays and any other day I have to be at DS2's before they go to work, I get up about 6.45. Dressing gown on, stumble downstairs and make a cuppa, let Eva out and try and deal with stuff sitting in the sink since the previous day! I take tea back upstairs for OH and me. Shower, dress and get going by 7.45. On a good day it will be with my hair dried, if not I leave it wet! I have a bowl of porridge about 10 am.

On other days, I get up when I wake up. Dressing gown on, stumble downstairs and make a cuppa, let Eva out and try and deal with stuff sitting in the sink since the previous day! Some things don't change from day-to-day! I take tea back upstairs for OH and me, and check emails, FB and here while I drink my tea. Then I might wander round the garden a bit - feed the birds, dead-head flowers, water the greenhouse etc. Feed Eva. I usually empty the dishwasher and maybe put some washing on. Then I get a shower, dry my hair and get dressed. I usually can't face breakfast much before 10 am - just a bowl of muesli or fruit and yoghurt and a cuppa.

I really would like to be the sort of person who gets out of bed, heads straight for the bathroom and emerges groomed and dressed and ready to face the day 15 minutes later and then sits down to a healthy breakfast!

I'm amazed!! Whatever time do you get up ,Oma ? I rarely wake up before 7.30 then I lie there until either I or DH stumble into the kitchen to make a cuppa. DH will then watch the news and I take my tea back to bed and read. Breakfast is any time, depends on DH's blood sugar then it's a leisurely meal. I am so not a morning person, can you tell. Obviously if we have to be any where early it's a different story, the alarm goes on and I move a bit quicker . I remind myself of all those years when we had to be up and out early for work so enjoy being able to take my time.

Enfys, Oma is a law unto herself . Shes up early and gets loads done before I have even had my breakfast

I'm more like you up with the alarm when I have to ( today is one of those days, baby GS here) Otherwise my mornings start very leisurely
