Well with the weather changing and being so cold, if i could i would have the heating on 24/7 but being worried about heating bills etc it isn't going to happen,

So if i am in nightwear or daywear i am shoving my dressing gown on, i am just constantly cold, OH doesn't like it, but he doesnt feel the cold, i really need to buy some Lounge wear for home, what is everyone else wearing on these cold days and nights, come 5 oclock i am in pj's now.with dressing gown and blanket, and have the heating on, think its going to be a cold winter, brrrrrrrrrrr, am i the only one who really feels the cold...

I'm like you Pearl, really feel the cold so will be interested in any tips to keep warm. I just pile on the layers and snuggle under a warm throw but would like to look less bulky! I have invested (!!) in some long sleeve thermal vests so hope they will make a difference. But I do tend to get into pj's and my thick dressing gown earlier and earlier.

I'm a chilly mortal too, and my big gripe is that I can't find a suitable long (ie ankle-length) dressing gown, unless it has a zipped front. I just want a wrap over one in a nice cosy fleecy stuff that covers my legs! I need some warm lounge wear as well! I bought some lovely brushed cotton pjs from Lands End a couple of years ago, but glam they are not!

Mostly I don't get changed until I'm ready for bed.

I wear lightweight sweaters during the day, but add a cardy in the evening if I feel really cold. For dog walking when it's really bitter I have thermal tops, leggings and socks. My feet are always ruddy cold, so I wear ugg indoor boottees. I always felt the cold badly when I was younger and (slimmer), not as bad now but I still hate the cold weather. Im a real summer person.

Daisy, I bought my dressing gown in M & S, full length, wrap over really thick fleecy material. It's very cosy and they even had some with hoods.

I stay dressed all evening until I go to bed, I can't live without my electric blanket though. My feet are always cold wear moccasin slippers but they are not very warm. Heating full on I would say9/10 hrs a day and on an evening electric fire on .

I wear leggings all the time at home with big baggy jumpers and teeshirts underneath. Of course I am going to be back out in the field so will be out all day, intotheflat and straight into the bedroom for warm PJs. I have a microfibre fleece blanket which is very light but very warming in the sitting room. I have just put a winter duvet on the bed and it is way too hot for us. we haven't had a winter duvets for a couple of years but I think this winter is going to be a cold one. I have been kicking the duvet off and pulling another micro fleece light blanket over my cold bits AND we still have a window open in the bedroom. More cardigans and blankets for me.......

I stay in my clothes until I go to bed, do not get dressed very early in the morning but I have a large toweling robe with a hood I wear until I have a shower. I have my winter duvet on the bed and an electric blanket. My heating comes on low about 7.00 am and I turn it up when I sit down and it goes off about 10 am I dislike cold feet but I turn the blanket off before I settle down. Keep warm everyone

I get my nightie on quite early, wear a very tatty cashmere cardigan, woolly socks and a kind of poncho thing. I've bought a heat pad from Lidl to keep my feet warm as OH sneaks the heating down at every opportunity. My feet really hurt these days when they get cold. My biggest problem is that my body temperature only seems to work on extremes. I wrap up really warm and then keep throwing the clothing off and then putting it back on.

I don't get changed until I go to bed either. Always switch the electric blanket on for an hour before I go to bed. Not very often I have the heating on in the mornings, when I'm busy doing housework, but when that is done, on goes the heating.
Hubby doesn't feel the cold like I do. He once read an article a few years ago, and it said it's a scientific fact that women feel the cold more.

We have the heating on all day and we light the wood burning stove, when it is really cold we light the other wood burning stove (but it has to be really cold for that). Our house is never cold when we are in it! After my bath in the evening I put on my toweling dressing gown but I don't have anything on underneath it as I sleep naked!

I wear multiple layers all day including thermal vest, polo neck sweater and then a thicker padded gilet but I am the coldest person I know. One day recently I answered to door to someone wearing my normal clothes and she said, "Oh sorry I can see you are just going out" - "No this is what I wear inside". I have a very thick dressing gown which I can put on in the evening but then I am sitting close to a log burning stove by then

I slept naked from the age of 13 Avo until the last couple of years. I have no idea what changed me into a PJ/nightie girl.

Zizi, I have slept naked all my adult life, cannot bear anything on me whilst in bed! I swear I am warmer this way. I stay in leggings and top all day until bed time and if out and about, then change into them once indoors. From there to bed!
