    Been Around But...

It has been such a busy week (well over a week in fact) - I have been sticking my head around the door (well you know what I mean) to see what is going on but had so little time, so apologies and birthday wishes and very sincere get well wishes to Oma's husband Brian.
It has been birthdays and weddings and now I am glad it is all over. We had a wedding in London during the week. One of my oldest friend's son got married and it was a wonderful event although we were tired following the five hour round trip. DH has had this horrible bug (cough, sore throat, feeling nauseas, achy - you get the idea) so it has been a struggle. We were however determine to go to this wedding as we were so pleased to be asked by such good and valued friends. Then, this weekend I had planned a celebration for DH's 70th Birthday. This is in fact today but no one wants to celebrate on a Monday really. So we had lots of activity and a really nice meal out with as many of us as were available (DS in NZ very much missed). To be honest I am pleased to get back into the old routine today as too much rich food and sugar overload doesn't sit well with me. So tonight it is homemade carrot and coriander soups with crusty bread and an evening around the wood burning stove. Sounds like paradise.

BL, you certainly have been a busy bee. I hope the birthday boy is soon feeling better, and yummy homemade soup sounds just the thing to convalesce on. Relax and enjoy. 😘😘

Busy time BL! I know exactly what you mean. After Christmas and New Year, or lots of meal out on holiday, you long for something nice and simple

Thanks for advise. Taking it easy and eating soup worked very well. Well Sum that's interesting. Are you a calm person with lots of patience as well? I am told these are Libran traits.

My OH's b-day is in October too & he's a very laid back person. I often comment on this saying he's almost horizontal. He's patient with me because more often than not he switches off! Ha ha.

Elisi, I wish I was the person in your picture .... looks sooo cosy.
