    Noisy Shoes!

I bought a pair of flat sandals from Clarks on line a short while ago, but the more I wore them, the squeaker they became. After 4 or 5 wearings it became impossible not to laugh at the racket, so today I returned them to a Clarks shop after speaking to the on line dept. they were changed without question and an assistant assured me that the new ones would be fine. She was wearing a pair herself and they certainly didn't squeak.
I did my small amount of shopping, drove home, walked to the front door.....squeaking all the way. It must be me. 😳

The nice young man told me it is caused by the cracking of what is inside the instep. How can I go back now that assistant has shown me hers don't squeak? I'm thinking it must be the way I walk. ( think Dick Emery😂)........but then none of my other shoes do and a lot of them are Clarks.
Just one more thing that rumbles on unfinished in my life.😁

Can just imagine Grauntie getting ready to go out, and say i'll just oil my shoes.

Mamar, everything in my life is funny- well most things. The Husband thinks the squeak is extremely funny. Nan, he wouldn't wait for me to do that, Many's the time I've had to finish getting ready in the car but oiling sounds messy. 😁😂

Perhaps you need to go out in the rain in them!

I've no idea why I've suggested that, except there must be a solution somewhere!!!

A different style I'm thinking Daisy. Tried talc, no joy. Honestly they squeak and creak just like the others. I really can't be bothered to go back today, but J (8) is coming tomorrow so we can do it then. She likes shopping....not!! 😁
Do you think I should try the hose as it's dry here?

GM - I think you've been more than patient! Perhaps it's just a 'bad' batch if the ones the lady in the shop had were silent. Are you changing them for a different style?
