    Early bird or Night Owl

How many are early birds or night owls.Hubby is most definately an early bird, he goes to bed between 9.30-10pm and is always up no later than 6 am,usually 5.30am.He is one of those awfully happy morning people who whistles and sings until his hearts content,he will clear away any debis from the evening before put out the rubbish and generally tidy round. Me I'm a night owl and can stay up until 1.30am sometimes, I like to get up on a non working day about 7.30-8am leisurely have a cup of tea and sit in my pj's until I have come around enough to make my way to the shower. He likes the radio playing or TV for the news,I prefer utter peace and quiet. He is a morning chatterbox whilst I prefer to be left in peace. Always been the same but it must work somehow as we have been married 46 years this year.

Night owl here. I love the night time. I love the silence, the stars, the fact that I am on my own. Often I will wake in the early hours and stand in the garden listening to nothing much. What a shame I feel rotten through lack of sleep the next day.

Aggie, I don't think we can change the time in our settings, I have tried before. Will check again later.

I'm definitely an early bird, always have been, I'm always up for 5am., mind you, when it gets to 10pm I'm ready for bed.Love getting up and having a cup of coffee, when everything is quiet.
Hubby usually gets up around 7.30am/8am. He's not a morning person, likes to come round slowly. It's usually about midnight when he goes to bed.
I like to put tv for the news, hubby always says, how can you watch tv so early.
It was a different routine when hubby was working, because he was a shift worker, when he was on the night shift, if there was a programme i wanted to watch,i would think i will stay up and watch it,but not very often it happened,i still went to bed about 10ish.

It must work for us as well Libra,it's out 47th anniversary in October.

Luckily we are both night owls. Although when DH was working he was always up by 6 as he started work at 7, now he says how lovely it is not to have to set the alarm and just wake up when he is ready. It was 8.30 before we stirred this morning! The joys of being retired

Hubby always says it's nice not to set the alarm for the day shift anymore. If I didn't get up till 8.30, I would feel as though half of the day had gone.

We are both morning people. Comes of having the shop and being at the market at stupid o'clock for years. Husband falls asleep on the sofa every night, I have done that for a couple of nights as I have been getting up early to help him dress for work, I am talking 4.30 early!!

Husband is VERY cheerful in the morning has even been known to chat to the fruit bowl telling it how nice it looks! I like to have BBC News on in the morning. He is not bothered about watching the news so I put my make up on in the bedroom with the news on TV and when something comes on that annoys or delights me I pop into the sitting room and tell him about it, all I get is "Mmm" whilst he is sitting there. Playing stupid candy crush!

How difficult & tiring for you Aggie. I hope that you can catch up on your sleep somewhere in the day. Has he been prescribed his meds yet? My mum had sleeping tablets to help her to sleep through the night. I hope you're ok.

What happens is, I wake up at say 5.00, go to the bathroom, then go back to sleep and don't wake up again til late! 8.15 again this morning. Luckily DH does the same so it matters not
