    Extravagant Indulgence

Having said on another thread that I am a "Do I really need it kinda girl" I now have to confess that I do buy one totally unnecessary indulgence. It is something which could easily be replaced with a much cheaper product and which, who knows, may be just as good. When I tell people about this they tend to say things like, "Oh that is far too expensive for what you get" and then I feel a little guilty and stop telling people. Well it is all about the fragrance as much as anything and I have never found one to match it. It is Molton Brown Patchouli and Saffron Body Wash. There I have confessed.
So does anyone else have something which is possibly unnecessary really but which they buy as a treat just because they want to? Do you feel you have reached an age where you can do this and don't have to be "sensible" all of the time? Please tell your secret indulgence and make me feel better

I love Molton Brown hand cream , I cant use body wash or perfume , I can put Perfume on my clothes as long as its not directly on my skin so im not into expensive fragrances , My Indulgence is going out and having a meal in a really nice restaurant , we at a age where we have spent lots on the Children and GC so now its about time we indulged ourselves . If I see something I want I will buy it without guilt ,When the children were small we didn't have money to spare so we had to think carefully about what we bought . Im not a great Red meat eater but I do like a Beef Rib eye joint we bought one a few weeks ago £17 a lot of money for just us two but we did get a lot from it and froze a lot sliced in gravy so we can use it when we want , wouldn't have dreamed of paying that sort of money years ago for a joint . Qwerty I love Tomato soup it has to be Heinz or Cambells concentrated , same as sauce I don't us a lot of that but when I do it has to be Heinz tomato and Hammonds chop sauce
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Molton Browne is lovely I have only bought it as presents for others.

I love Liz Earle products, especially the shower gel, cleanser and moisturiser. DDs often treat me on birthdays or Christmas. Once in a while I treat myself to the moisturiser, that is my indulgence. Far too expensive for me, but the scent and the texture of the cream is wonderful. I use for far, far less of this each application than the cheaper brand I usually buy, so it does last me a while.

I don't have a sense of smell so I rely on others to buy me smelly things. I suppose it would be a good bottle of wine.

It's about to be a very expensive swimsuit. I have spent a week talking myself out of it but I have spent the weekend with very naughty friends who have made me agree to buy it!

I don't buy expensive shower products, but I love some of the pricey perfumes, which I sometimes get bought for presents.I'm another that always buys Heinz soups, Heinz salad cream and Heinz tomato ketchup, HP brown sauce. Most of my cleaning stuff is brand names.Coffee has to be Nescafe original.

It has to be Nescafé coffee for me, supermarkets own brand seem bitter to me.
Birdseye cod fish finger, I know it's the most expensive way to buy fish but it is the only convenience food I buy and enjoy.
Although I am happy to buy cheap and cheerful tshirts/tops for every day I never penny pinch on undies . M and S and other good quality brands for me. I once brought a pack of undies from Primark, they were a complete waste of money. It just took one wash for them double in size. They went straight into the bin !

Well Oma now you have tempted me to try the hand cream too and yes we too went without when the kid were small so should not feel bad about treating ourselves sometimes now should we.
Qwerty good scented candles are just wonderful - again it's all about the smell and you are definitely Worth It!
Plant I'm a wine peasant and the cardiologist put a stop for my love of the gorgeous reds sadly - bad for the old AF apparently.
GM I never put so much as a toe in the water so cannot justify nice swimwear but you should definitely go for it and let us have a picture of you with it on.

I use a range of skincare products which are mail order only. For what the are - very pure with no cheap fillers - they're not expensive, but when I stock up about every 4 months or so the bill makes OH's eyes water! But I have various skin problems and this range keeps them under control, so I don't even regard them as luxuries.

My real extravagance is photographic equipment. I've got a high-end DSLR and fantastic lenses, so I always buy expensive memory cards, flash drives, filters etc.

I think OH thinks my constant supply of bottled water is an indulgence! I have drunk it for years, I don't like the taste or smell of tap water.

Me too Gemini, can't bear tap water. My indulgence is probably shoes, but if I really want something I do just tend to buy it.I can justify it while I'm still working.
