    Sunday, a day of rest.

I thought Sundays were supposed to be a day of rest. Not in our house they aint. While hubby was at a car boot sale with his brother this morning, I cleaned all my kitchen cupboards out. Later hubby decided to put some extra shelves in some of them, I had asked for them last week.So cupboards cleaned out again. Then he decided to put a new letterbox in.The new one was slightly bigger than the old one.You wouldn't believe the mess this made, everything had to be cleaned down and polished, new letterbox does look nice though.
Thought he had done for the day, but no.He has repainted the cupboard that used to be the airing cupboard, before we had the boiler changed. He finished it off, by putting a new piece of carpet in the bottom. Looks very neat and tidy.

Nanto - you're not alone! Today I've cleaned the kitchen windows and outside door, sorted out a cupboard, done 2 loads of washing, walked the dog, bathed and groomed him, spent 4 hours on the allotment planting French beans, courgettes, leeks, kale and spring cabbage, cut front and back lawns and edged them, made up our bed, cooked dinner, oh - and downloaded 10 chick lit books onto my Kindle as an antidote to Emma and Jane Austen! The only trouble is unless you go down to the allotment or sniff at the dog there's nothing to show for it!

I got up this morning with the intention of doing very little........
While I was in the bathroom I noticed that the vanity unit under the sink was a little cluttered so I set about sorting it out, then I turned on my desktop pc and fiddled about with the wireless signal via the pc to the hub in the vain attempt to improve my wireless strength. This was a per instructed by BT. That took almost an hour and the jury is still out on that as to wether it has made any improvement.
I then deleated lots of photos on the pic that were either out of focus or not wanted so that I can upload load the remaining ones onto BT cloud.
Then I cooked lunch , had a quick coffee and then painted the rest of the garden fence . That took 3 hours to do and by the time I have cleared up and watered the garden it was time for tea ! And where was OH , watching his beloved Newcastle United on TV and then he was assembling his guitar playing wooden figure kit. Words fail me !! Roll on tomorrow for a rest

Oh you busy ladies, I cooked mid-day ish for myself and my GD, then when she went riding she dropped me off at DS and DIL's and we watched a very exciting game of rugby before GD picked me up. DS feeling much better today, he was dressed and not in so much pain.

Gosh, though when has Sunday ever really been a day of rest for us women?

I did no housework or gardening but I did a handover with tenants and compiled a new inventory, then, oh joy, in the middle of my diet, OH took me to pizza express, and I had a biggie and then ice cream and a glass of wine. Tomorrow is a day of see food and don't eat it!

There must have been something in the air yesterday as I cleared out my dressing table and the cupboard where I keep all my hair products & nail varnish,I must be the be the most compulsive buyer sometimes as there where loads of bottles of nail varnish that was not even opened I put them all into a bag and take to Charity shop the same with hair bobbles loads never used.I then attacked the dressing table and the amount of receipts that I was keeping "just in case" was amazing so they all got thrown out all jobs which don't make the room look any different,I tidied my jumper shelf and hung up all my jeggings and jeans on the correct hangers so the rail looks quite presentable now.I did a roast chicken dinner with lemon cheesecake for afters (homemade) and sat back and felt quite pleased with myself. I am going to spend to-day browsing colour charts for ideas for hall way and bedroom walls thinking of a pale yellow but just can't make up my mind as yet.
