How did you choose your forum name?

New member Fairyqueen telling us about why she chose her forum name made me decide this was a good topic for discussion.

I chose mine as it is my star sign, and I like the sound of it. A lot of you shorten to to Gem, which I also like

Grauntie because I am also a Great Aunt to quite a few smallish people, and because most forums I have joined have a Maggie, Mags, or any other variation of my name already registered.

I originally thought of Gemini too, as it is also my star sign.......but was beaten to it 😀😍. So picked a welsh name because I had just discovered that my earliest ancestors came to Wales from France, it means rainbow.

At WI one of my roles is to send a card or make a phone call to any of our members who needs cheering up, eg if they are unwell or have a problem within their family. My title there is The Sunshine Lady.
