    do you like surprises

Last week OH said with a smile on his face, keep the 9th May free, make sure we have no kids.....so I asked "why", he said "not telling its a surprise", I just asked "do I need my passport" sadly not..... so was told to dress casual smart....hmmm what can it be....

I was telling DD and she said she would love a surprise, me I want to know what it is......

I don't like surprises at all as I like to know what is going on (control freak) and I have found that surprises can be rather more like shocks

I would hate a surprise party, I think I am a bit wary of surprises. Hope you enjoy yours.

I love surprises too! I had a surprise 60th birthday, which was lovely.

Pearl, if you have to dress smart casual it won't be a football match - hopefully! I can't wait to find out what it will be.

I am quite happy to do last minute things but never actually had a surprise party or anything similar. One friend had a huge party arranged. She thoroughly enjoyed it but was a bit conscious that she hadn't had her hair done or bought a new posh frock. Another elderly neighbour was not happy at all though she didn't say anything to family when it was her 80th birthday. She spent the day feeling totally miserable as she thought all of the family had forgotten it was her big day and then was too overcome to enjoy the party when it was sprung on her. Hopefully she felt better once it was over and she could look back on it as they brought together lots of old friends from years back and had worked really hard on a This Is Your Life presentation.

I only like surprises when I know what they are or I am the one who has planned them!

It depends on the surprise I suppose.

Not too keen on surprises and a surprise party is a big NoNo as far as I'm concerned!
