      Aww, I like that, Nanto

I ticked the Grandma box, although they refer to me as GrandmaDogDog!

My first GS had trouble pronouncing Grandma & it came out as Mamar. It stuck, so now I'm Mamar to four GC. Love it & them.

It's lovely to hear the diffrent titles we all have.

My mum was Nanna to my 3 DDs, and is Nanna now to her GGC, my GC. Never spell it NANA, or she tells you off, as she is 'not a banana' LOL )
She was pleased that none of us grandmothers wanted to be Nanna, so she was able to keep that title.

I have always loved the title of Grandma. I think it is cosy and lovely and I really wanted to be Grandma. I love to hear them say it. GD and GS2's other GM is Gran, and GS1's is Granny, so we are all happy

Isnt it odd how different areas spell and say things , everyone up hear is a Nana , and no matter if your a grandparent or a GGrandparent , everyone is Nana you just add a name to it , to my youngest two to tell me from their other Nana ive always been Nana Banna no idea why they just called me that and it stuck
Mil is known to GGrandchildren as Nana Ulla , Grandad was Grandad Teeth when he was alive

My grandparents were Granny and Gran'paw followed by their surnames. DC's grandparents were Gran'dad Bert and Gran'dad Gar ( shortening of their surnames) and Nan. My mother dies before either of mine were born. An ex had Big Granny and Wee Granny.....which was exactly what they were!

I’ve always been Nanny, I really wanted to be Grandma. It when DGD was born my DD just couldn’t call me that so Nanny I was! Sometimes now they are older it’s Nan but that’s fine.

Oma. Your post reminded me of a story that we laugh about. We were at mum's house one day when the children were small. Ages 6 & 8 roughly. We were chatting downstairs but I had an ear tuned in to little feet noises & muffled laughing of the girls upstairs, (as you do). The next thing I heard was the laughter of the two girls coming down the stairs.

The girls appeared around the door laughing their heads off. The youngest DD had put in my dad's spare set of false teeth. She looked like Wallace. Laughing now just thinking about it.

I am Grandma, OH was Pa because the first GC called him that. I am finding it difficult to find a name for my GGS to call me because my DD is Grandma to him and the other GGM is Nanna.
