I have tasted it Oma. I felt I had to try it when I went to Dublin. I didn't feel the need to try it again (In fact I don't even think I finished my half)

I actually like Guinness. It's not my regular tipple by a long way, but I like the taste - and drinking it complete with shamrock at the top of the Guinness building in Dublin was a bucket list item for me. Unfortunately it was a rather dull misty day so the view wasn't what I'd hoped, but it was still good.
There was a time when new mums were advised to drink Guinness/strong stout to aid breast-feeding. The powers that be had decided this wasn't a great idea by the time I become a mum, though, but I remember several 'aunties' reminding me I should be downing a pint a day!!
