Gem - it's funny how being poorly can put you off certain food or drinks. At least the weather is hot enough not to miss your morning coffee too much, I hope.

It's lunch time, but I'm not very hungry. I'll just have a light portion of Caesar salad, no chicken, and a glass of cloudy lemonade, please.

All I can think Daisy is that it's my body protecting me from things which are not so good for me. I have no interest in alcohol or sweets biscuits or cakes either ( jelly excepted!)

Hello - I've just popped in for a bit of lunch. The shade in the garden is lovely, and there's just a slight breeze, but I'll keep my floppy sun hat one just to be careful.

This heat feels very Continental! I'll have one of Mariella's special citron presses, please, with plenty of ice and sugar to stir in. The chilled soups look delicious, so I'll have the chilled soup of the day and a small baguette.
