Good morning, Mariella. What a lovely sunny day. I'll sit in the conservatory and watch the birds on the feeders. They seem very excited and chirpy this morning.

I'll have one of your special cafes au lait and a croissant, please, and imagine I'm in the south of France.

The Cafes au lait Daisy had this morning sounds lovely ,

Oma, Mariella uses the same method for her cafes au lait as my French friend's mother did. She made the coffee in a stovetop coffee perculator and added Nestle sweetened milk. Delicious with shop-bought French toasts, which they called Biscotti. Or lovely buttery fresh croissants, of course.

It's a good job the Tea Room is all calorie-free.
