If you make a cheese sandwich and dip it in the egg mixture and fry it, it's called Cheese Dreams! Well it is in the WG house! Might have that for my tea now I think about it!

I'd forgotten eggy bread was also called Gypsy toast.

I remember the school cook making Gypsy Tart when school dinners were cooked on the premises. Anyone else remember that? I think it was made with condensed milk.

Late to the party here! I have just eaten soft cod roes on toast for lunch but I can certainly find room for some gypsy tart! It made going to school worthwhile for me.
A fresh pot of tea would be most welcome.
