The sun is shining here, although some rain is forecast this afternoon. Later this morning we are going for a walk, followed by Sunday lunch in a country pub. This place does the best Sunday roast I have had in a restaurant, so you have to book!

We have had rain, do hope it stays fine for Wimbledon. Some members of the family are off mountain bike riding and I am going with my DIL later to a garden centre to look at plants for her garden new border. DS is somewhere in Cornwall. Have a lovely day everyone

Good morning everyone. It's rained here overnight and is still raining. Thank goodness I cut the lawn yesterday - I had to do it twice as it was so long. I'm still trying to catch up on yesterday's posts - life's busy at the moment. I often wonder why I thought retirement would be a time for relaxation.

Morning ladies up during night with neighbours alarm going again they couldn't turn it off this is about the 3rd time in as many months the alarm people come out fix it and it goes again they so embarrassed about it but it can't be helped these things happen . Done a load of ironing ,cleaned bedrooms , stripped hoover down cleaned that now all parts I could wash drying in airing cupboard , Booked a couple of days away in Marco Pierre Whites hotel ,The hotel la tour in Birmingham for tomorrow and Tuesday, just a little break away from hospitals . Have a good day ladies I'm off to hoover garden now 😊

Afternoon all. Who says Gran's lives are boring? Yesterday had both DD'S & GC over to have a pre birthday get together for my GS2. DD2 are off for the day as their own little family today.Yesterday we ended up at YWP as it's his favourite. (Writing this in bed...rest day😂).Enjoy the day everyone.

Afternoon ladies, Oma hope you have a lovely break away from routine, you two deserve it. Well OH and I are a bit delicate today after the excesses of our evening out. We went to the Lambs Green Inn with friends, starter divine, sadly steak was as tough as old boots so that was returned to the kitchen and I requested a fresh one and well done but edible. Well mine arrived after everyone had finished their mains. Hubs fancied the lamb shank as it's a particular favourite, well it was so small with a small amount of mash and veg. His was £16.50 just the main, he's not a pudding person. Enjoyed the evening with friends but wouldn't eat there again. We have decided on something light today, tomato soup and crusty bread. The rain has stopped and the sun is trying to come out, anyone else find this rotten weather depressing. What I would give for some hot, sunny weather.

DS and the two youngest just gone ,I ended up being the target in the garden having nerff bullets fired at me , they may be made of sponge but at high speed they can sting 😲😊 . It's come over black so think we in for a downpour . Not sure what to do for tea tonight I know we having corn on the cob but what to go with it is the problem 😊

We had such a nice day. Long walk, followed by a lovely Sunday lunch in the pub. We then watched a boat going through the locks at the marina, then walked along and just sat by the river watching the ducks! Peaceful, sunny, one of those summer afternoons to remember
