Well we were going to go to the coast. But we thought more about it and decided anywhere quiet would be too much for me to walk to, and anywhere more accessible would be mega busy .
We considered a couple of swimming lakes where you could also just walk and sit. Both were fully booked for today.
So we had a game of Skip Bo in the garden, then DD3 invited us round to their garden if we were free. We were so we went for the afternoon. Naked baby E was having a lovely time in his paddling pool
We are home now and going to our friends for a meal soon.

Good morning, Gem, you would enjoy the afternoon in the garden with baby E!
We have 2 more hot days, so they say, then rain on Tuesday, just when I am away! If it is heavy I will take a bus into the town.
I met the most gorgeous dog yesterday, a chocolate brown labrador, he was beautiful, the man was telling me that he comes with a story, the couple have wanted a dog a while but didn't want a puppy, this one was trained as a "help dog" but didn't pass the exams!!!! He likes attention too much and couldn't stay focused when out and about. He is 11 months now and they only got him 10 days ago, when they found out they could pick him up the mans mother had just died and it was a huge decision to make, now, 10 days later they are pleased they did decide to take him, the daughter is 9 years old and it helps them all focus on something beside the death of the mother. The poor lady was my age!!
I am busy packing a case in to take with me, I won't need much really.
I have just read that my nephews eldest son has run 54kms off road! Holy Island to Craster.
Lizzie
The dog has came at just the right time hasn’t it,
How long are you away for ?
Glamm
It was perfect weather wasn’t it , enjoy dinner.
Its GS’s 19th Birthday today we are all off to Ramside hall to have a posh lunch .
Not as hot as yesterday so far but boy was it stuffy last night.
I read my book till gone 3 with the sitting room windows and the patio doors open
Thankfully I remembered to lose them when I eventually got to bed .
We had a very nice meal at our friends house last night. We felt bad for them that they had cooked though as they have a tiny kitchen and it and they were so hot! Apart from eating we spent most of the evening in their garden, such a warm night.
OH has left for golf. I have a couple of things to do ahead of tomorrow's committee meeting, and easy jobs like tidying and deadheading flower tubs, but am generally having an easy day.
I haven't decided what to cook yet.

Sat indoors most of yesterday, had a funny turn, thought I was going to pass out but it soon passed and I was already sitting down. Went into next door and sat with DD for a bit. This time I think Bil was right, I hadn’t taken on enough liquid I think that was the cause. I watched the Rugby with Sil later in the evening. Needless to say I have a glass of water/orange alongside me. H is here again, her daddy is taking part in a fun run in memory of his mother and GD is working. Potty training is still going well, she likes to do things in private.
You will miss your GS popping in Oma but I thought that when my son went to Uni. But he was back the first weekend with a friend to feed. This heat is very debilitating, take care. I hope you have a lovely posh meal.
Lizzie, have a lovely break.
Gemini, Cooking isn’t very enjoyable in this heat, lovely to sit in the garden in the evening to cool off.
Nanto, look forward to seeing your pics of the wedding. I do love a wedding.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Plant, it was probably the heat and not enough liquid. I know you said your family urge you to drink more water. Perhaps you should listen to them especially in the hot weather! I think it is set to cool down over the next few days.

I agree the heat and not enough liquid ,
MIL had Dr yesterday she has a water infection and high temp , he said she was dehydrated and needed more water into her to flush the infection out and to rehydrate.
She is like you Plant doesn’t feel she needs to drink as often but clearly does .
Hope your feeling better now xx
We have just had a very noisy thunderstorm just after I watered some of the garden. Did the doctor call on your mother in law Oma?, I don’t think our doctors do house calls anymore. We do have a pop in centre.
That thunderclap made me jump, Plant! Sadly not much rain and still very muggy!
We went out last night for GS's birthday to a local pub, it was soooo hot in there I was glad to get finished.
Getting packing sorted for my trip to Crete tomorrow. Clothes done, just toiletries and all the odds and ends to do. Off to get myself checked in and sort out the paperwork etc.
Will catch up when I'm back. Take care ladies xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
