Maybe it's better reading it than listening to it, Plant. Also it's easier to go back and remind yourself which "version" you are reading, which I did frequently.

Has anyone read The Yorkshire shepherdess, not a novel it's a true story of the young woman who marries an older sheep farmer and goes onto to have 9 children.A modern day story. A suggestion for ladies to read,I downloaded it to my kindle. There is also a year in the life of the Yorkshire shepherdess."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Is it time for another book?
I suggest the next one on the list

Purely because Daisy suggestion ( "The Many Lives of Zillah Smith: An English Romany", by Netta Cartwright) seems harder to find and it will give us more time to source copies“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - yes, I quite agree. Marian Keyes is always a good read. I'm feeling a bit guilty because I haven't made any comments on the previous book yet, although I have finished it. I've had trouble with my Kindle and didn't have the patience to sort it out, but it's working again now, so I'm going to skim through Versions of us again, and try and sort out the 3 stories in my head.
I thought the Zillah Smith book would be interesting, but didn't realise it would also be difficult to get hold of.

Well Daisy, I'm hoping it will be available at libraries, I haven't searched at mine yet!
It's not available on Kindle and it is £10 in book form which I thought may be a bit much for people to pay for a book club read.
Therefore I thought if we leave it until later we can search our libraries and 2nd hand book shops“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
