I was going to suggest WOLF HALL but I realise that it's just because I am a history fanatic and they are quite 'heavy' going, so perhaps something lighter to begin with

I should like to suggest The Children Act by Ian McEwan. It's about the issues faced by a judge in the Family Court and is brilliantly written as well as not being over long. It's available on Kindke too.

The Children Act does sound good and received a letter last week about going on jury service so would be good possibly to read this.
Am off to our Book Club tonight so wonder what they will have in store for us !

Hi all...will look forward to reading this book. Our book club has been reading Maggie O'Farrell The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox it has been an excellent read.
