MinnyString - That may be the case for you. I'm afraid I generally read the sort of books where I can read 3 pages at a time without losing track of the plot. I used to be more adventurous, but I only ever seem to read in bed, and can't remember when I last had a day curled up by the fire, engrossed in a good book. When I was a child I read every spare minute and the house could have fallen apart round me and I wouldn't have noticed.

Our bedroom gets the sun for a large part of the day and is beautifully warm. I quite often head up there and sit in the sunshine and read another chapter or two of my book!

Daisy, that made me laugh, as people often ask me what I am reading on the Kindle, and I have no idea of title or author
Atm I am reading The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I saw the book at my daughters house a while ago and fancied reading it. I did mean to ask to borrow it once she finished, but it came up as Kindle daily deal last week, so I bought it. I'm almost halfway through and enjoying it very much.

I only seem to read in bed too.....far too much to do in the day usually, not complaining though At the moment I am reading nothing except the daily newspaper!
Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot
I'm reading Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, which was a freebie from a rival granny site. It's really gripping and I keep reading a few more pages, then just another couple!

I have just finished Stranger Child by Rachel Abbot. It was gripping , I hated to put it down. The ending wasn't quite as I hoped however. I was pleased to see the author has written 3 more books.
Today I intend to make start on our book club choice.

Just finished reading The Hidden Cottage by Erica James - excellent story with different threads running through. About to start either the Devil's Recruit or Templar's Acre - both about the Knight Templar but only two books left from my library books! Might end up with my Kindle again.
I always find time to read - even when I really shouldn't! Only ever have one book on the go - don't think my brain would handle two.
I'm now reading another Rachel Abbot book as I enjoyed the first so much.
I read our book club choice over a couple of days, I wish I had left it until nearer the time!

I enjoy Rachel Abbott's books too Gemini. I had "The White Woman on a Green Bicycle" to read for our book group but didn't enjoy it much. So I'm now on one of Nicci French's, The Memory Game. Good so far

DS gave me a copy of The War of the End of the World by Mario Vargas Llosa which I'm reading just now. It might take some time as it's 750 pages long! It's inspired by real events in Brazilian history and I must admit that I'm enjoying it, though I wasn't too sure when I started it!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
