Books you read again (and again)!

Nowadays I quite often find myself reading a book that I've read in the past but luckily I can't remember the outcome so just carry on reading!

Do you have, or did you ever have, books that you intentionally read over and over again? As a child I used to read Little Women and found it very comforting.

In and around 2000/2001 when I was undergoing diagnosis and various uncomfortable treatments I came across the Miss Read books which are based around village schools and life mainly mid 20th century. They were relaxing and didn't require any serious concentration yet kept my mind occupied.

Shem, I love re reading books! I find it a great pleasure to read a book I enjoyed, but can't remember all the details of.

I find it hard to reread a book. Even as a child, once I knew the outcome of the story I didn't want to read it again, no matter how much I'd enjoyed it.

Shem - I loved the gentle easy reading of the Miss Read books. There were always quirky characters and she described mid-20th Century village life beautifully.

I can read books over and over again. Depending on my mood I often revisit old favourites apart from detective/thrillers. Every year just before Christmas I read Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher.....looking forward to opening it again soon, my feel good Christmas book. I don't mind that I know what's coming, it's just like revisiting an old friend
