    The book thief.

I have just finished this book it’s by Markus Zusak
A very long book but the type you can’t put down ,
Its about a young girl who goes to live with foster parents who she loves very much especially her foster Father,
It is set in war time Germany through poverty and hunger and it follows her life till she’s a old lady through happiness and sorrow and hiding a Jew in their basement , And how she stole books wherever she could.
What makes this unusual is it’s a story told by Death as he watches her through life till he collects her at her end
And how Death himself is not to be afraid of .
    Amazing book.

I have often considered reading this book Oma. I worry it will be quite depressing though.

I know it has very good reviews.

It sounds very interesting, Oma, but I'm not at all sure I could read it.
