    Re reading books

Do you re read books you have enjoyed?

I have done this all my life, partly due to being very poor in my 20's!
If I have enjoyed a book once I will enjoy it again, if enough time has passed. Some books like Jane Eyre and David Copperfield I have read several times over the years.

During the 2020 lockdown I re read all the Harry Potter books - very enjoyable!

I am at the moment in the process of re reading the 10 books in a series by one of my favourite authors, Rachel Abbott. I am on book 7 and realise I have forgotten such a lot, it is like reading new books!

My OH would never knowingly read a book she had already read and finds the idea a bit odd!

As I say, I have always done it, and it had given me a lot of pleasure, and saved money!

I generally only read a book once, but I occasionally re-read a book I've particularly enjoyed, and it's usually one with a 'feel-good' storyline which transports me to a happy place with no effort.

      I often reread books ,
Like you The Harry Potter books , Twilight trilogy , some classics and a few Catherine Cooksons , depends on what mood I’m in to read ,
I find Rereading there is always something I forgot or missed when reading before so it’s like a little mystery tour 😁

It isn't very often I read a book twice, in the lockdown I read a few Catherine Cookson books, but normally the one read is my limit, I sometimes get books from the library, sit down to read it and within a few pages I realise I have read it before.

I only read books if they are a true story or biographys/autobiographys.

There is one book i have read a couple of times/Spend Spend Spend by Viv Nicholson.
Probably not everyones cup of tea,but i liked her.
I always watch or read anything to do with Viv.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto, I can remember Viv winning all that money and saying she would "spend, spend, spend".

              So can I.

It's shocking to realise that the £152,000 she won in 1961 wouldn't even buy a small house today anywhere round here.

I often mean to - but, I’ve too many books waiting to be read and once I ordered a book on Kindle and then realised I’d already read it. It was a detective story mind, but I’d got to page 12 before I realised. Very vexed with myself.

Sum1 - there are just too many good books out there just waiting for us, aren't there!

I love my Kindle, but do find I often forget the title and author of what I've read. I wish it showed the front cover of the book every time you opened it.

I love rereading books that I have enjoyed. It’s like revisiting old friends and I often find myself reading bits I have missed (or forgotten).

Enfys - I love the idea of the books you reread being like old friends. x
