Gem - good choices and nice to have a modern classic for a change. I haven't read either, but seem to be stuck in a bit of a rut with reading at the moment.

I appear to have read 13 books in my personal one a month classics challenge. I don't want to leave it at 13, so Great Expectations is my next read! I will start this after reading a couple of none classic reads, then that will be my challenge finished“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I have completed my personal classics challenge.
I aimed for one unread classic a month during the year, and I have read fourteen.
Mostly I enjoyed this. I read many classics I had meant to read for years . There were couple I really didn't enjoy, but I was glad to be able to say that I had read them, so have an opinion!
I gave up on Middlemarch!
As I enjoy Dickens and there are many I haven't read, I plan to read several more next year.
This is my list.
