    Rupert Annuals

Did you have Rupert Annuals as a child?
    I did and loved them.

My dad was the one who read my bedtime stories each night, and often they were from the Rupert Annual.
Once I was able to read to myself, I told my dad that I couldn't find Rupert's baby brother Percival Bear, or Bill Badgers baby sister Rosie anywhere.
Dad had made up these characters to make the stories more interesting for us both

I used to have a Rupert Bear Annual every Christmas, wish I had kept them.

Plant - same here, but I never remember anyone reading to me. There were two ways the stories were presented - a cartoon style strip with captions and continuous writing. I used to read the cartoon ones first then the others.

I loved Rupert Bear we used to get the annual every xmas it was never mine alone we had to share it between us, I was lucky though as my sisters couldn't read then and I could so I was able to read it under the covers when we went to bed.
