I loved the opening show, even if the Bruce tribute did bring a tear to my eye.

At the moment I don't have a favourite but I am getting a bit annoyed with the attack on Susan Calman . She is a gay woman who has chosen to dance with a male dancer. She has been accused of letting down her community . Really ?? I thought it was a dance competition combined with light hearted entertainment . What has the fact that she is gay got anything to do with it. I think she is right with her decision to dance with a male partner and after all he could be gay ! Does it matter who is what , I don't think so , its not something I think of, I happen to think that male and female dancer looks better, it suits a lot of the dances .

At least Anton hasn't gt an impossible partner this year. It is so predictable, they always have one very fat competitor and one impossible one (the vicar in this case). I don't understand the attack on Susan Calman, she hasn't changed her sex. I will be interested in how Simon Rimmer gets on too Glamm, I think he will enjoy himself. Tess had a job to hold it together when she was talking about Bruce, Claudia kept her going.

Mimi, I have never heard anything more ridiculous regarding Susan Calman! I agree with you. I know her from the radio and she is funny. Why can't she dance with a man because she is gay, who says this?? Some people will object to anything won't they?
It did bring a tear to the eye when they mentioned Brucie.

Unfortunately Gem it is the LGBT community giving her stick over this issue. She wants to dance, her contract says dance, her wife is happy for her to dance wth a bloke so what the hell has it got to do with anyone else? Oh dear, haven't posted for a while and now I have completely "gone into one".....

Ludicrous isn't it? I'm sure several of the male dancers over the years have been gay. It's OK for them to dance with a female partner. Some in the LGBT community are 'up themselves' as in any community

Loads of them have been gay, Judge Rinder, Biggins to name but two. It just seems to be being made an issue because she is a woman which is strange in my opinion

Never heard anything so ridiculous! As Zizi says, lots of previous dancers have been gay, so what difference does it make.

i quite enjoyed the show, never a great fan of Bruce but I thought the tribute to him very good and not too OTT. Felt sorry for Tess, she was quite upset.
