This play is currently on tour, and we were lucky enough to have tickets to see it last night, at the Mayflower in Southampton.
If you have a chance to go and see it, beware - you will end up aching from laughing. It was one of the most fun pieces of theatre I've seen, and if you've ever belonged to an Am Dram group you will find it even funnier, I'm sure. I'm not usually a great fan of slapstick but this was timed to perfection, and when you thought they'd wrung the very last laugh out of a situation, they continued to pull even more funnies out of the hat. No swear words, nothing naughty (apart from the briefest flash of the heroine's very modest undies for a microsecond), but absolutely hilarious. I don't think I herd a word of the last ten minutes or so because we were all laughing so loudly, but it didn't matter because the 'plot' was visually self-explanatory.
