    We're going out!

We have just received our tickets for seeing Lulu in November, with them came a leaflet for Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Lo and behold they're performing local tonight. So we're off.
Not like us to be spontaneous

Ooh how lucky Fleetwood Mac were one of my favourite bands in the "olden days". We don't go out often either and, like you, rarely spontaneously. We have started to do fortnightly date nights. We have to make arrangements because of his shifts. Of course as we just came back from the South of France and are just of on another holiday we won't do one this week but I have enjoyed having dinner and going to the pictures with him. I am not sure I could cope with a concert though if I am honest and I don't think I would really want to go and see Lulu. Maybe Alfie Boe? And of course we love musicals but then we have to go up to town so need to ensure husband is not working the next day as he always does earlies i.e. 4.30 am starts. We want to go and see the Motown Musical in town this summer.

Have a fabulous time and don't forget to pretend you don't know the words because you are too young!!

Jules - how lovely. I've never grown out of being a rock chick, despite the creaking joints, and I'd enjoy both concerts. Have a wonderful time.

It wasn t the real Fleetwood Mac but a good tribute band. Hubby is more of a fan, but at least I know what they sang, now, well some of them. Funnily I prefered the heavier rock stuff the boys played on their own, rather than when they had the ladies singing. Albertos was amazing. I was in the zone.

Grannyjules - you can't beat live rock music. It just takes me to a different place! So glad you enjoyed it.

There are some amazing tribute acts around (and some pretty awful ones). Last year we saw an Elvis impersonator who was so bad he was actually hilarious.

We're off out again. This time taking my Mam to Nottingham to see The Lord of the Dance. It's her birthday treat. We went out for Sunday Lunch, tried the pub in the village, first time since it's had a makeover. It was good, so we'll be going back. We've lived here for 34 years and never been, but the new people said they'd only been doing food for a year, so we're just catching up. We really must get out more.

Well, you are getting out more now GJ I think we are all guilty at times of not knowing what's on our doorstep.
I hope you and your mam enjoy Lord of The Dance.
