    TV of our childhoods

Which TV programmes did you enjoy when you were a child?

I watched all the Watch With Mother ones shown after lunch. I liked the Woodentops and Tales of the Riverbank best. I did like Andy Pandy and Rag, Tag and Bobtail as well and I think there was one called Picture book ?

When I was a little older I loved The Flintsones, Bewitched, The Munsters, The Addams family, Mr Ed (the talking Horse), My Favourite Martian.
I liked Magpie too, which was ITV's version of Blue Peter.

Do you remember all those? Are there others you remember?

As a young child I loved Muffin the Mule and the Flower Pot Men. I don't remember watching much television as I grew older until I was a teenager. Then I liked whatever pop music shows were on - 6 5 Special, Top of the Pops, Juke Box Jury. I would hurry home from youth club to watch 77 Sunset Strip. Mum and I would always watch Armchair Theatre which we both liked. We were also fans of Emergency Ward 10!

I can remember watching the Watch with Mother programmes that Gem mentioned.

As a young teenager, like Daisy i watched the music programmes along with Ready Steady Go.

I was also a fan of Emergency Ward 10.When i got a bit older i used to swoon at Dr Kildare.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I also remember watching Coronation Street in its early days, and even Cross Roads.

Daisy I seem to remember Coronation Street was on twice a week at 7 pm at first. My bed time was 7, but on those two nights I was allowed to stay up until 7.30

Being somewhat older than you all, the first television programme I saw (on a friends television) was Muffin-the Mule with Annette Mills, John Mills sister.
