Is anyone avidly following this?

Hard to keep away from it really, especially living with a sport lover as I do.

I have slightly more interest this time as one for our friends put all our names (10 of us) into a hat and we were randomly allocated teams.
Most of us had 5 teams, she and her OH got 4.
The winner will get a prize!

This has helped my attitude to the whole long and boring thing , as I have a slight interest in the results!

My teams are : BRAZIL, IRAQ, SWITZERLAND, NORWAY and HAITI.

Apparently 2 of my teams play each other at some point. I have to get a win or draw for that match

I am watching some of the football but cricket is on as well (all yawn) I love the elegance of it and I can’t do much else atm.

Plant, if I have to watch a team sport I'd choose cricket, provided it was 20-20. I couldn't watch a 3-day test match.

I haven't watched any of the world Cup yet, but might be tempted if it promises to be a good match.

I've only seen snippets when hubby has been watching it.
Having said that,hubby hasn't watched a full game.
He might be more into it when its the final.

It's a bit boring though. No one has scored goal at all and its been on almost an hour. How anyone cane watch this night after night is beyond me
