    The Piano

Did anyone watch the finale of the current series last night? No spoilers, in case anyone watches on catch up, but I was so pleased (but a little surprised) about the winner, but they were all amazing talented pianists, and in some cases singers as well.

Gem, a lot of stations, airport etc have pianos anyone can just go up to and play. The programme visits different venues and films amazing pianists. At the end of each show one (sometimes two) go through to the final concert in a large theatre. I think this year's finale was at the Glasshouse International Centre for Music, in Gateshead. This series was a little different with one of the judges being a bit OTT, but the pianists were all very talented and of course had their own story to tell through their music. We both love the series.

Daisy, we watch Gogglebox, and a few times they have featured The Piano so we have seen some bits but never properly watched it.
I must add it to our To Watch list

As a very rusty pianist, I'm in awe of all the people who just walk up to a strange piano in a public place and give it all they've got.
