TV programmes to cheer you up!

This is prompted by Lizzie telling us she watches Only Fools and Horses on You Tube if she needs cheering up.

Are there any programmes which will always make you smile,?

For me it's Would I Lie to You ? It never fails to make me laugh out loud. I sometimes watch it in bed, OH will be watching some sport downstairs. She says she can hear me laughing from up there

Gem, I always find myself laughing out loud at almost anything with Lee Mack in it!

I also find Keeping up Appearances funny, Yes Minister/Yes, Prime Minister, Fawlty Towers, Outnumbered, Last of the Summer Wine, Bread, The Vicar of Dibley and The Good Life all very easy watching. Morcambe and Wise shows are still brilliant, too.

They're all guaranteed to cheer me up!

There are probably other oldies but goodies, which I'll think of later.

Lee Mack makes me giggle. The old ones are the best. Very clever writing.

Nan2, when I had all those wakeful nights in the early weeks after my knee op I watched One Foot in the Grave in the early hours!

Isn’t it interesting that most of the programmes we laugh at are “of a certain era” ? Good innocent fun. I do agree that of the current offerings I like Lee Mack.

Clover, it's lovely to hear from you. I hope you're ok. xx

Yes, they are all from more innocent times and the sort of programmes that whole families could watch together.
