Phantom of The Opera screened from The Royal Albert Hall to Vue

This afternoon we went to our local Vue cinema to see a screening of the Phantom 25th anniversary performance from the Royal Albert Hall.

I cannot overestimate how wonderful it was! I feel happy and very emotional!

Amazing performance of a show both OH and I love equally.
The Albert Hall looks amazing, I have never been there.
At the end Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber came on stage, as did the original London cast from 25 years ago, along with several past Phantoms, who all sang. Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman appeared as well, and Sarah sang.

For anyone like Plant who loves this show if it is ever been screened at a Vue you can get to, I recommend going!

Streaming can never replace live theatre, but for those who London means a train fare and hotel as well as pricey ticket it's a wonderful way to see shows. We both saw this fantastic show for less than £40 in total, money well spent!

I have to add that Vue are not the only cinema who do theatre streamings, so you may catch this at another cinema.

Lucky you Gem! I saw one of the first performances when it opened in London! Absolutely memorable!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WGI had only seen it on stage once before, on Broadway, which was pretty memorable!

There are some lovely songs from the show.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Gem, I totally agree about live screenings - not quite the 'real thing' but still very special, with great atmosphere. I think the cinema audience picks up on the atmosphere of the live audience and it multiplies in some way.

When we lived near to London we often used to go to various shows, but I've never been to the Royal Albert Hall. I live in hopes, though. I'd love to go to a Prom concert in the summer.

I must confess I have never seen it ,
I know of it of course and I have seen clips of Michael singing , but never actually watched anything film stage play etc .
I must make an effort to see it some way.

Oma, I have seen it in London, and although the music is wonderful I found it a bit creepy. I know I'm in the minority and it's hugely well-liked, and the screening Gem saw was a special anniversary wasn't it.

Daisy, you must go to the Royal Albert Hall, wonderful experience. I would recommend a box.

Plant, ooh, I like the sound of having a box. Didn't you go there with family for a special birthday? What did you see?
