It was on BBC4 last night. Being a girl or the 70’s I very much resonated with the decor and household items! I had a trim phone and a horrible fridge with a tiny freezer at the top. The play first broadcast in 1977 Lost none of it’s power of performance by Alison Steadman and the other actors. Brilliant piece of drama and writing that still stands up today. Anyone else see it?

Think this was the first time i had seen Alison Steadman , or Janine Duvitski
Janine has always played the mousy one hasnt she , One foot in the Grave , waiting for God etc she always plays the downtrodden bullied wife
Except in Benidorm she was hilarious

I remember it being well publicised originally, but don't think I've ever seen it, but perhaps it's time a watched it on catch up.
