I read in the radio times that they are all living in a biosphere in Essex. They will be living there for six weeks. There is a separate area for them to practise as they would have done at home. They even have kennels for their dogs. All the food packages were left under UV lights and sent by courier and then they had to be cleaned again. All luggage, food and deliveries were deep cleaned before they could enter the estate. It is very interesting, worth buying the Radio Times. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Can you imagine how difficult it must be to make a cake bust though!!! It took me right back to the days of making various things for DSs' birthdays - I think Concorde was pretty difficult, but those on the Bake Off were in a different league! I felt sorry for the contestant who knocked the guy's cakes over as well. Even when she won the heat her eyes were still red from crying.
I think they were all being very ambitious with all the bakes - imagine trying to work out the Battenberg star pattern, or the buildings one.
I thought Matt Lucas was very good - I think he'll be an asset to the show. I'd only watched one previous Channel 4 episode and thought Sandy Toksvig and Prue Leith didn't seem to gel very well, but Matt seemed to work well with everybody.

You're right, Oma, but some combinations seem to work better than others. There seem to be a lot of people not happy about the changes on Question of Sport, although it's not something I watch. OH likes it but he says it won't be the same without Sue Barker."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
