Last Tango in Halifax and Flesh and Blood

We are watching both of these.
I love Last Tango. It was a little tricky remembering everything, as it has been a few years since the last series, but we soon got there

Flesh and Blood is good. How lovely Francesca Annis could consider marrying that hideous buffoon is beyond me!!

I watched most of LTiH for the first two series, but I've literally lost the plot now. I could do with a catch up episode to fill me in on the main gaps in the storyline. I dare say there's a box set, but I haven't got the patience to set through all the previous episodes.

I haven't watched F&B so far, but I might give it a go!

Watching LTIH, hasn't she got nasty? I love the family issues. The farmer daughter for example needing monetary help from her father. Raises the question about how long we as parents are expected to bail our children out. Then there's his wife with the new kitchen. Poor bloke's right in the middle. I love the dynamics of what's thought of as dysfunctional families whereas they're becoming more like the 'norm'. 😏

We've enjoyed F&B, but it looks like they've left the ending 'open' for a following series. I did think it was a little slow in places, but I still liked the storyline. Who would like a neighbour/friend like her? One thing for sure I'd like her house. (Sorry, names of the characters escapes me). The new husband is a bafoon isn't he Gem? Their family is certainly a tangled web.

Do you mean Anne Reid's character Nana? If so yes she certainly has turned nastier.

Yes, that's the actress Anne Reid. I'm better with actors names than characters names!

Buffoon is a polite name for him. I think he’s a sleaze. But I don’t think he murdered his first wife, but he’s still a sleaze/buffoon. We’ll have to wait for the next series to find out.
I’ve caught up on ‘Liar’ on ITV hub. Series two starts tomorrow.
