    Re-Tuning TV.

What on earth is going on with this retuning palarva don't these people realise I have no technical knowledge to speak of it looks like I will have to summon youngest DGS again to do the business he has not long installed Netflix for me and that had taken me all day to master why can't they leave well enough alone for people like me

I know tv's had to be retuned at the beginning of February.
Haven't seen anything about retuning them again.

Don't think we have had to retune at all

If I was on my own it would have to be DD or Gs as I haven't got a clue on stuff like this

Glamm - I hadn't heard about this, so I've just Googled it.

It sounds as though it's not all over the country and seems to be related to Freeview. They're updating the signals on some transmitters. It says satellite and cable tv services aren't affected.

Sorry that's not very helpful, but I have no idea either - I hate trying to do anything with the tv and all those awful controllers.

It's my job to retune the tv's.
The big tv automatically retunes, but the smaller tv's we have around the house had to be done.

When we got our first computer many years ago,we had it for about a year, before i ever switched it on.
          Only hubby used it.
Now, hubby gets me to sort out any problems on the computer.

I've not heard anything about it Glam. I'd be the same as you. I wouldn't have a clue.

OH had to go and retune my mum's TV last week Glamma. Like you I am an ignoramus on these matters. I don't think she had to do ours.

I think calling in a younger more tech savvy family member is a good idea

Nanto - my OH has his own laptop. He's getting better, but isn't very confident on it. He finds it frustrating, and often asks me for help, but I'm not much use these days, not being familiar with Windows 10, current versions of Word and Excel, etc.

                Thank heavens for savvy grandchildren.
